something unsual that happened that day

Dear readers,

This post is about a very unusual encounter I had. One day I at night when I was deep in slumber, flying deep into wonderland. Though scientists say that dreams or nightmares usually cannot be remembered or recorded by the human brain, about twenty percent or less of a human's dreams can be remembered. This was one of the unfortunate times that I remembered this dream or should I say a nightmare? The memories of the phenomenon still lingers in my head and even now sends shudders from the top to the bottom of my body. I still cannot take the picture of my memory.

In my nightmare, I first heard a mysterious whisper first saying, ''Come to me..... let me tear you apart ......''. Soon the whisper turned into a chanting. Then it mutiplied a hundred times, then by a thousand times then by it multiplied a million times. Then by a billion times. then a grotesque , horrific face came out of the blue. The face was marred by scarsand hideously marked by burns. But the worst were the pockmarked scars that were littered around the face. The sight was such a sight that even demons could have been considered beautiful. I woke up in a start and realised that I had broken into cold sweat.

After some days during my uncle's wedding my cousins and I were cracking up in laughter because some of us were telling jokes or doing antics. That was when I heard a tapping on my shoulder. I swatted the hand away in irritation. After sometime, the tapping increased even more. I turned back with a growl in frustration but my growl stopped in midway. The horrible was string back atme with a toothy grin. I managed some words that actually meant,"Get away fowl demon!'' But I was totally not sure because I had blacked out.

Something that took place in school

There were many memorable things that happened in my primary school life. There were fun and positive memories which always left me in peals of laughter and made it optimistic. There are also there were also memories that would bring make me distressed and distraught. But in my sophomore year in primary school was the best school year I ever had. PSLE results, graduation parties and of course the best for last, entrepreneurship day. Entrepreneurship day is the day where every Primary 6 student had to raise funds for the school to build more facilities for future and existing students.
So nine other students and me came together and decided to start up a games and second-hand items shop. One of my teammates, Daniel, put up a suggestion that he himself will sponsor some expensive lucky draw prizes. Then, me and the others accumulated some unwanted items that were striking and attractive. we used this items as prizes for the games-soccer and darts and products for the second- hand shop. Two classmates and myself decide to take charge of the darts shop. Daniel and two others took care of the lucky draw and the second- hand shop. While, the others took care of the penalty- shootout. Well business was not so good in the start. Since my younger brother was good at advertising, I requested him to exactly do that. I knew if my brother took up a job, I knew he would not put his back to it until he finishes it. Well, sure enough, customers came in a flood. Soon enough, our business was booming. But our luck did not stand for more than three hours. We soon ran out of prizes. Then we invested our money in files and stationery. Still that too did not hold for long. So, we took a break.
Overall, we managed to raise some two hundred dollars. Although the amount was not much, my teammates and myself felt a sense of achievement and pride. We were inspired to do more fund- raising activities like this in the future. We surely learnt the importance and meaning of teamwork. I hope my current school will engage in more activities like this.

A problem I encounterd and how I managed to solve it

When I was in primary school, I used to be a proud and haughty boy. I came across many troubles because of this behaviour. On one occasion my art teacher had instructed us to do a model of a house. Since, I wanted all the glory for myself I decided to do it solo. So when I arrive home I quickly made a state-of-the-art model. Then I brought it to school as if it was gold.

When the recess bell rang, I left my project on my table. What a fool I was! When I came back my dream project was in pieces. Angry tears welled up in my eyes. I was at a complete loss. When I told about this to my teacher, she scolded me for being careless. Then, she gave a second chance and I had to pass up the project by four in the afternoon. That was when a sudden change came into me. Instead of keeping the glory to myself why should not I share it with some other people? So, I decided to join forces with some of friends. Fortunately they readily accepted the offer.

So we set upon buying the necessary materials such as paints, glue, crayons and colour paper. Then, we salvaged most of the remains such as the base, half of the background and the roof of the original project. Firstly, we painted the exterior of the house. Then we re -designed the base. Lastly, we re-designed the background. Finally our dream project was done. We quickly passed it up. Through this occasion, I learnt about the strength of teamwork and two hands are better than one.

A moment spent alone doing something I enjoyed

Hello friends,
Welcome to my blog. Today, I will talk about a moment spent alone doing something I enjoyed. Well, my most favorite hobbies are playing computer games and reading, of which the latter I enjoy doing very much. I developed a habit for reading when I was eight years old. That was when that I got my first Harry Potter book -Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. When I started reading it I knew reading would become a distinct part of me.

Last year I got hooked on to a new book series - The Inheritance Cycle. Over the free time i had I read the series' first book Eragon by famous young writer, Christopher Paolini. When I began reading it I was enthralled by the magical world of Algaesia(the place where where the story happens). Algaesia is like any other place but is ruled by a merciless emperor, Galbatorix. It seems like a normal world of farmers and craftsmen. But unknown to many there is a deep, dark legend when revealed may cause ultimate mayhem and chaos. But youth named, Eragon
discovers it. What is this secret? It is dragons. When he finds a dragon egg and it hatches for him, his life is thrown into jeopardy.
I enjoyed this book a lot as when Paolini wrote about Algaesia I could actually see it unfurl in my mind. Sarcastic comments combined with comedy lightened up the book's plot line. More ever, sacrifice and tragedy combined makes the book a little moody it also gives it a god twist. Paolini's language is elaborate and simple. Anybody could read it more than three times and they could never get bored. I recommend this book to teenagers.

A special moment I enjoyed with my Family

Over the Year End holidays, my family and I went to India for vacation. After days of boredom my parents decided to go to a religious town in India for three days. Almost immediately my brother and I started to protest. I did not want to tag along as it meant that I would be missing three days' worth of television programmes. More ever travelling out of Chennai(the city where I resided during the vacation) always gave me a exercruciating headache and a painful sore throat because the air was always freezing cold and desert dry. My brother protested becuase he hated eating restaurant food. To cheer us up my father decided to invite a couple of friends and their families to join us. My mood soared a little up but nothing convinced me. I continued protesting but my parents were too firm.
So we started off that evening itself. My brother was too over excited. He loved going out with friends. But throughout the journey I was muttering under my breath,''What a waste of time , all my precious TV time gone!''. To make matters worse, the minibus driver was playing classical music. I yawned tired, bored and irritated. A moment after I had drifted off to sleep, my mother woke me up saying that we had to go to another temple on the way and we will be arriving there soon. Gritting my teeth in fury and frustration, I followed them to temples till next morning where we took rest at a travellers' lodge. After taking rest for two hours and freshening up we set off again and and guess where? We went to another temple! But things started on a good side and it really was fascinating going to that temple as it really was enjoyable climbing up and down the stairs. But I was cautioned by my mother that it was dangerous as they were very steep. Then we set off again. Finally, we went to emperor's palace in Madurai. The palace had beauteous motifs and exquisitely carved architecture and had wonderful artifacts. My brother and my friend could not contain their exuberation. Then, we learnt more about this palace. This palace was owned by Thirumalai Naik who ruled during a period of 1623-1659. We children told jokes to each other. While our mothers exchanged gossip. Our fathers exchanged work matters. Soon we lost ourselves in fun and when the trip came to a end I was begging for time to pass slowly.
From this trip I learnt the meaning of family and friends. I hope that I will go on more trips.
